Degree qualified civil engineer and chartered safety practitioner with over 20 years experience managing multi £million projects, in 2006 I needed a business web site.
There was so much jargon, rubbish and lack of clarity out there, that I decided I would build one for myself.
An exciting world opened up and I realised that I was enjoying the challenge more than anything I had done before.
What I didn’t realise at first was that business web sites need to have more than just good graphic design, colours and functionality.
Web sites need to be results driven and generate high quality business leads and sales.
They need to be journalist quality, with sales and advertising copy written for potential customers and also designed for the search engines.
I quickly found that most web designers didn’t understand sales and marketing psychology and that most experienced sales and marketing professionals didn’t know much about the Internet and web design.
In 2010 I set up Webittz and now work with Julian Healey, a professional marketing journalist and Peter Fletcher, a professional sales trainer and manager each with more than 25 years experience.
